QiGong Workshop

Qigong is a mind-body practice, synchronizing breath to movement. The practice of qigong is ancient (4,000 years old). Qi is often translated as “vital energy” or “vital force”. Qi is universal and embraces all manifestations of energy.
Qigong is suitable for everyone and has beneficial effects on improving the physiological function as well as psychological emotion by adjusting body, breathing, and mind. Stress in life and things in our external environment can affect our qi (energy) levels, bringing them down, so practicing qigong can help keep our qi (energy) levels high, promoting a healthier and happier life.
Think of qigong as creating a reservoir of healing vitality in the body. It circulates the qi, opening areas of stagnation where the energy channels are blocked. As qi moves, it becomes clearer and healthier, like a rapidly flowing mountain stream, and it is distributed to areas of disease or distress in the body.
When the energy is activated in a qigong practice, it can actually be felt in between the hands – like a buzzing, electric feeling – it is quite remarkable! You truly feel the mind-body-spirit connection when practicing qigong.
