A Healing-Centered Yoga Journey for Survivors and Anyone Navigating Life’s Challenges

Support. Strengthen. Shine.

Survival takes many forms. Sometimes it means finding your way through trauma or loss. Sometimes it means rebuilding after illness, navigating a life-changing transition or learning to reconnect with yourself after a difficult season.

Sacred Shine is a welcoming and uplifting yoga experience created to support survivors of all kinds and anyone seeking connection, compassion and renewed strength.

Through gentle yoga, mindful breathing, meditation, reflection and community connection, we create space to honor your journey, embrace your humanity and rediscover the strength that lives within you.

Led by Stephanie Panas, an educator, school counselor and yoga teacher whose own journey has included profound challenges and healing, Sacred Shine offers a space to come as you are. No perfection is required. No personal story needs to be shared. You are invited to move at your own pace, connect with your breath and experience the support of community.

Together, we will make room for hope, laughter, self-compassion and the possibility of shining again.

Breathe Deeply. Move Mindfully. Shine Brightly.

Meet Stephanie Panas: The Heart Behind Sacred Shine

From Survival to Strength, From Healing to Helping Others Shine

Some journeys change us in ways we never could have imagined. Some ask us to find strength we didn’t know we had. Sometimes, the experiences that challenge us most deeply lead us toward a new purpose.

Stephanie Panas knows something about that journey.

With more than 30 years of experience in emotional wellness, education and compassionate leadership, Stephanie has dedicated her professional life to helping others feel supported, seen and empowered. For 26 years, she served as an elementary school counselor with Orange County Public Schools. Today, she continues that work as a District Elementary School Counselor in the Mental Health Department.

But Stephanie’s understanding of resilience extends far beyond her professional experience.

In recent years, she survived domestic violence and a devastating battle with cancer. Her recovery was anything but easy. While undergoing chemotherapy, Stephanie faced the extraordinary challenge of relearning how to walk, talk and swallow.

There were moments when she could not fight for herself. During those moments, her friends and family fought for her.

She credits their unwavering love and support, along with her own determination and inner strength, as essential parts of her recovery.

Her doctors described her recovery as miraculous. But Stephanie’s story is not simply about what she survived. It is about what she discovered along the way: the power of connection, the importance of compassion and the possibility of finding light even in the most difficult seasons of life.

Discovering Yoga in a New Way

Before her illness, Stephanie was a lifelong athlete. She competed in swimming, gymnastics and softball, continued swimming throughout college and had always associated physical activity with strength, effort and intensity.

Like many people, she once believed that a meaningful workout had to leave you sweating.

But during her recovery, everything changed.

As she worked to regain her strength, Stephanie discovered gentle yoga. What she found was something she hadn’t expected: a practice that allowed her to reconnect with her body, find moments of peace and experience a sense of grounding and upliftment while healing.

Yoga didn’t ask her to push through. It invited her to listen.

That experience opened a new door.

When Stephanie discovered Breathe For Change, a yoga, mindfulness and social-emotional wellness training program for educators, she recognized an opportunity to bring together her professional experience, her passion for wellness and the lessons she had learned through her own journey.

Yoga became more than movement. It became a way to connect, reflect and support the whole person.

Creating Sacred Shine

Today, Stephanie brings her counseling expertise, yoga training, personal experience, storytelling and humor to her teaching.

She believes that people deserve to feel supported, empowered and never alone. She believes that we can honor our difficult experiences without allowing those experiences to define the entirety of who we are. She believes there should always be room for laughter, hope, humanity and the freedom to be fully ourselves.

That belief is at the heart of Sacred Healing Circle: Sacred Shine.

Created for survivors of all kinds and anyone navigating life’s challenges, Sacred Shine is a welcoming space for gentle movement, mindful breathing, reflection and community connection.

It is a place to come as you are.
A place where you don’t have to have everything figured out.
A place where you can honor your journey, reconnect with your strength and remember that you do not have to walk every step alone.

Stephanie isn’t here to tell you how to heal or what your journey should look like. She is here to share what she has learned, create space for connection and remind you that there is still room for joy, hope and light.

Because survival is part of the story. But it is not the whole story.

Sometimes, finding your shine means discovering that you are allowed to laugh again, be supported, dream again and become fully yourself.

Your journey matters. Your presence matters. Your shine is sacred.
